Dr. Lee grew up in Los Angeles, CA, and was a competitive pianist on the national and international stage until she had a vision-threatening corneal ulcer from overwearing her contact lenses. She never forgot the terror of facing potential vision loss—an experience that inspired her lifelong devotion to mastering ophthalmology and preserving sight for others.

Today, Dr. Lee is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in advanced and premium cataract surgery. As a fellowship-trained cornea specialist, she brings an elite level of precision to every cataract procedure, utilizing state-of-the-art lens technologies and customized surgical planning to optimize visual outcomes. Beyond cataract care, her surgical expertise includes corneal transplantation and specialized ocular surface procedures such as pterygium removal.

Dr. Lee’s path to clinical excellence is rooted in rigorous academic training. She graduated cum laude from Harvard University and received her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her medicine internship at Mount Sinai St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, where she received the Outstanding Preliminary Intern Award, and her ophthalmology residency at Stanford University, earning the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Resident Excellence Award.

She then completed a prestigious fellowship in medical and surgical cornea, refractive surgery, and external diseases at UCSF and the Francis I. Proctor Foundation, during which she was awarded a Heed Fellowship, the highest national honor in ophthalmology. Prior to joining Tozer Lee Eye Center, Dr. Lee served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, managing a busy practice at a regional tertiary referral and trauma center, and was named a Seattle "Top Doctor" in 2020 and 2021.

Widely recognized for her clinical leadership, Dr. Lee received the Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), was voted a “Top Doctor” by her peers in Phoenix Magazine, and has contributed numerous peer-reviewed publications, articles, and book chapters to the field. Beyond the clinic, she is deeply committed to global eye health, traveling to regions such as Nepal and North Korea to perform and teach sight-restoring surgery.

In her free time, Dr. Lee enjoys playing pickleball, hiking, exploring new restaurants, listening to classical and jazz music, creating educational medical content on her YouTube channel, and traveling around the world with her husband.
